Investment Banking Principal – Structured Finance (VP/Director Level) | Edgar Matthews & Co.

This Principal role is critical for leading transaction execution across key structured finance areas and plays a vital part in originating new client opportunities, directly impacting the firm’s growth and client success.

• Mission: Lead the execution of structured finance transactions and originate new business opportunities for the firm.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead transaction execution across securitizations, rated note feeder funds, and CFOs.
• Lead transaction execution for fund finance solutions.
• Lead transaction execution for select M&A advisory mandates.
• Interact with and lead dialogue with credit rating agencies during transaction processes.
• Originate new opportunities with both new and existing clients.
The Must-Haves
• Background: VP/Director Level professional with expertise in structured finance, including ABS, rated note feeder funds, securitizations, fund finance, and M&A advisory.
• Experience: Proven experience leading transaction execution, directly interfacing with clients, and managing junior banker teams. Required experience includes ABS and/or rated note feeder fund modeling and structuring, as well as interacting with and leading dialogue with credit rating agencies.
• Skills: Strong understanding of insurance and regulatory capital structuring skills. Demonstrated relationship management and business development abilities. High maturity and leadership capabilities, with the ability to function independently and drive outcomes, coupled with a collaborative, team-oriented working style.
