What You’ll Actually Do
• Execute Transactions: Support the execution and origination of a full suite of investment banking transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, asset divestments, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, and leveraged buy-out underwritings.
• Coordinate Deals: Support M&A, ECM (Equity Capital Markets), and Leveraged Finance transactions by coordinating across all internal and external parties involved, ensuring smooth process flow.
• Prepare Presentations: Develop client presentations and contribute significantly to deal pitches, leveraging thorough research and in-depth analysis of companies and industries.
• Build Models: Prepare complex financial models, specifically including comprehensive valuation analysis and merger consequences analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Analyze Opportunities: Provide detailed industry intelligence and competitive analysis to identify potential opportunities, and actively assist in scoping and developing potential deals across various industries like Diversified Industrials, Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, Low Carbon Transition, and Financial Institutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree with a demonstrated record of academic excellence is required, complemented by a core understanding of accounting principles and valuation methodologies.
• Experience: At least 1 year of prior experience in investment banking or M&A is essential. This includes specific professional exposure to M&A, ECM, and Leveraged Finance transactions, alongside proven core valuation and financial modeling experience acquired in a professional setting.
• Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative abilities are necessary, coupled with proficiency across all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Candidates must also possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Active FINRA Series 63, 79, and SIE registrations are also required for this role.
