Spencer Ogden works closely with Developer/IPPs, facilitating the growth of distributed generation (DG) and utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects. What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Finance Management: Actively engage in project finance initiatives, encompassing the structuring and analysis required for diverse renewable energy ventures within Developer/IPPs.
• Mergers & Acquisitions Participation: Provide support for M&A activities, playing a role in the strategic acquisition and divestiture processes relevant to the renewable energy infrastructure, specifically within the DG and Utility Scale Solar / BESS sectors.
• Advanced Financial Modelling: Develop, refine, and manage intricate financial models essential for evaluating the viability and performance of Distributed Generation (DG) and Utility Scale Solar / Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects.
• Transaction Execution Leadership: Utilize comprehensive transaction expertise to drive the successful closing of deals, ensuring all financial and contractual aspects are meticulously managed from initiation through completion.
• Renewable Energy Sector Focus: Specialize in the financial aspects of renewable energy projects, particularly those involving DG, Utility Scale Solar, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), applying deep domain knowledge to all financial and transactional tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is suitable for a professional in project finance or mergers & acquisitions, potentially at the Associate, Senior Associate, or Manager level, with a core focus on the renewable energy sector.
• Experience: Demonstrated and proven expertise in financial modelling is a mandatory requirement. Additionally, candidates must possess significant transaction expertise, showing a track record in successfully executing financial deals within relevant industries.
• Skills: Essential skills include advanced Financial Modelling, robust Transaction Expertise, deep knowledge of Project Finance principles, and practical experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). A solid understanding of renewable energy technologies, particularly Solar and BESS, is also crucial.
• Bonus: While the primary focus is on Project Finance Associate roles, Spencer Ogden is also supporting Senior Associate and Manager-level searches. Experience working directly with Developer/IPPs on Distributed Generation (DG) and Utility Scale Solar / Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects would be highly advantageous.
