Investment Banking Associate – Supply Chain & Logistics | MUFG
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Intrepid, the middle-market advisory arm of MUFG, located in Los Angeles, CA or Charlotte, NC. Intrepid is a specialty investment bank providing M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory services to a diverse client base including entrepreneurs, family-owned companies, private equity sponsors, and major corporations. What You’ll Actually Do
• Due Diligence: Organize, review, and analyze due diligence processes and materials.
• Financial Modeling: Develop a range of valuation analyses and models including projections, LBO, DCF, public comparables, and historical M&A transactions.
• Client Materials: Prepare comprehensive pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations, and other marketing materials.
• Market Outreach: Compile prospective acquirer and investor lists, and directly contact these parties.
• Transaction Execution: Perform key steps in the transaction execution process and support senior bankers in establishing and maintaining client relationships.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Officer. Outstanding academic credentials from a top-tier school.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of sell-side M&A advisory and investment banking experience with a record of completed transactions from pitch to close. Demonstrated knowledge of completed transactions from pitch to close in various supply chain & logistics sectors.
• Skills: Highly proficient financial analysis and modeling skills; excellent written and oral communication; demonstrated critical thinking, process orientation, and strong attention to details; proficiency with S&P Capital IQ, Pitchbook, DealCloud CRM, and online data room platforms; SIE and Series 79 and 63 licenses are required.
