Associate, Investment | Pantheon

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Pantheon, located in San Francisco, CA. Pantheon is a global leader in private markets investing, with over 40 years of experience and approximately $82.3 billion in AUM across private equity, infrastructure, real assets, and private credit. This role is crucial for supporting the Global Infrastructure & Real Assets Investment team by providing essential transaction support for deal execution, contributing to asset management, and promoting the growth of the team and wider business.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Evaluation: Evaluate investment opportunities through financial modeling and comprehensive due diligence.
• Recommendation Preparation: Prepare and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee based on deal findings and other analyses.
• Deal Closure Support: Assist with deal closing processes by collaborating with the Investment Structuring Team and legal counsel.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the team and build rapport with partners and counterparties by attending GP/company board meetings, industry events, and other ad-hoc meetings.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor and assist in the management of existing portfolio companies and investments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Officer. Prior knowledge and deal experience in infrastructure & real assets, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or corporate development is required.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in relevant roles.
• Skills: Strong financial modelling skills, ability to understand financial statements, interpret and calculate key financial metrics, strong problem-solving, influencing and relationship building skills, and strong communication skills with attention to detail.
• Bonus: Willingness to travel on a varying basis.
