Analyst, Investment Diligence | CAZ Investments
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CAZ Investments. CAZ Investments, established in 2001, provides exclusive access to unique alternative investment opportunities by co-investing its significant personal capital alongside a global network of investors. The firm distinguishes itself by its substantial personal financial commitment, the ability to access large-scale investment opportunities otherwise unavailable to individual investors, and a compensation structure largely tied to investor profits, ensuring ultimate alignment of interests. The Analyst, Investment Diligence position is fundamental to the Investment Management Team, playing a key role in the rigorous evaluation of new investment opportunities and the continuous monitoring of existing ones. This individual’s meticulous support will directly inform leadership’s investment decisions and contribute significantly to the firm’s overall success and the financial outcomes for its families and shareholders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Evaluate: Evaluate new investment opportunities primarily across the full range of private markets.
• Monitor: Support the monitoring of existing investments primarily across the full range of private markets.
• Diligence: Collaborate on initial due diligence for new opportunities.
• Present: Prepare Investment Memos to be presented to the Investment Committee.
• Track: Assist the Portfolio Management Team in monitoring and tracking existing investments and portfolios, including gathering and analyzing data.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Others. The role requires a solid understanding of underlying macro- and micro-economic forces and trends, along with core financial knowledge encompassing accounting and financial valuation.
• Experience: Candidates should possess 2-3 years of preferred investment industry experience. This includes practical research experience and demonstrated financial knowledge, crucial for evaluating and monitoring complex investment opportunities.
• Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and an exacting attention to detail are paramount for preparing high-quality investment diligence and analysis, ensuring timely delivery of work under strict deadlines. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, is required for data analysis and modeling. The ability to quickly learn and utilize quantitative modeling techniques, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills, are critical for collaborative success across teams.
• Bonus: Progress toward the CAIA, CFA, or MBA designations is preferred. Experience with specialized platforms such as DealCloud and/or Caissa, as well as other data analytics software platforms, is considered a strong advantage for this role.
