The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Intesa Sanpaolo, located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Intesa Sanpaolo is the leading banking group in Italy and a Top Tier bank in Europe, serving over 20 million customers in Italy and abroad. This role is crucial for supporting the Global Relationship Manager (GRM) in business development, managing client relationships with Financial Sponsors, and structuring financial products and services within the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division.

• Mission: Supports the Global Relationship Manager in developing and expanding relationships with Private Equity clients and structuring financial products and services.
• Tech Stack: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Bloomberg, SEC filings, rating agency reports, equity research reports
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Development: Support the GRM in all tasks related to developing new and expanding existing relationships with Private Equity clients.
• Due Diligence: Perform thorough due diligence on PE clients, fund structures, acquisition targets, industries, and other relevant information as required.
• Transaction Support: Accompany and support the GRM in meeting with clients, negotiating, and structuring transactions.
• Internal Coordination: Coordinate between and establish strong working partnerships with key internal partners including Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance, and Credit.
• Credit Preparation: Support the preparation of credit applications for LBO and fund finance deals, along with portfolio summaries and reviews.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within financial services, specifically familiar with commercial, corporate, and investment banking products.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a Leveraged Finance, Fund Finance, Project Finance, Sponsor Coverage, or Capital Markets role.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), knowledge of the Syndicated Loan Market, and ability to understand and analyze syndicated deal structures and loan documentation.
• Bonus: Experience with Bloomberg, SEC filings, rating agency reports, and equity research reports.
