This is an internship at Scimplify USA, focused on the U.S. market. Scimplify is a rapidly growing, VC-backed specialty chemicals manufacturing company with a global footprint, offering comprehensive solutions from R&D to doorstep delivery. They support businesses globally in developing and manufacturing chemicals for diverse sectors including pharmaceutical, agrochemical, industrial, personal care, and home care. This role is crucial for contributing to the company’s 0 to 1 growth journey and expanding presence in the U.S. market by identifying new business opportunities and executing strategic initiatives.

• Mission: Identify new business opportunities, support market expansion, and execute high-impact projects across the U.S. chemical industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Development & Market Research: Conduct research to identify potential customers, distributors, partners, and new market opportunities across the USA, while also evaluating industry trends, customer demand, and competitor activities.
• Prospect Sourcing & Management: Source and qualify prospects using platforms such as LinkedIn and industry databases, then manage contact information and CRM data to support lead generation.
• Outreach & Lead Generation: Conduct cold calls to prospective customers, distributors, and partners to qualify leads, initiate conversations, and generate business opportunities for the U.S. market.
• Strategic Project Support: Assist in project management by coordinating with cross-functional teams and external partners, and contribute to strategic initiatives including market mapping, account prioritization, and go-to-market planning.
• Reporting & Insights: Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and business insights that inform leadership reviews and strategic decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing relevant studies, demonstrating curiosity, adaptability, and a strong ownership mindset, with foundational knowledge in global business operations, strategy, or market development.
• Experience: No specific years of professional experience are required for this internship role; however, experience with online research tools is beneficial.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills for translating insights into business actions; strong communication, coordination, and organizational abilities; detail-oriented and proactive approach to managing multiple priorities.
• Bonus: Comfortable working within a global and data-driven business environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is an added advantage.
