Global Banking Internship Programme US 2027 | Standard Chartered
The Tone:
This is a 10-week summer internship at Standard Chartered, located in the US. Standard Chartered is an international bank that provides credit and advisory solutions to Corporate and Financial Institutions clients across the world, playing a central role in global trade, capital flows, and economic growth across more than 50 markets. This role matters because it offers an opportunity to work on real business challenges, build future-ready skills, and gain insight into how the bank supports clients, facilitates trade, and finances growth, potentially leading to a graduate role with the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Contribute to client solutions: Work on real business challenges to provide credit and advisory solutions to Corporate and Financial Institutions clients.
• Develop professional skills: Build future-ready skills, including technical, professional, and behavioural capabilities through structured development and on-the-job learning.
• Gain industry insight: Understand the bank’s operations, how it supports clients, facilitates trade, and finances growth across its international network.
• Collaborate and learn: Work alongside colleagues, managers, mentors, and senior leaders to build confidence and connections across the global network.
• Participate in projects: Take on meaningful responsibilities and gain hands-on experience within a specialist team such as Capital Markets, Fund Finance, or Infrastructure Development & Finance Group.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Penultimate year student from any degree discipline or background.
• Experience: Able to intern in June 2027 and start a full-time role in July 2028. Must have the permanent legal right to work in the country of application.
