The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Grant Thornton, operating in a hybrid model with regular in-person attendance at an office or client site. Grant Thornton is a 12,000-professional multinational, multidisciplinary platform providing advisory, tax, and audit services with $2.7 billion in revenue. This role is crucial for helping private equity and corporate clients evaluate operational opportunities and support their execution throughout the transaction lifecycle. The position focuses on assessing risks, identifying opportunities, and developing actionable plans to maximize value for clients before and after a transaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement Management: Lead buy-side and sell-side transaction engagements, coordinating with various diligence teams including Financial Due Diligence, IT, Supply Chain, and Human Capital.
• Operational Assessment: Lead operational due diligence to assess business performance, identify risks, and pinpoint opportunities for improvement.
• Cost Optimization: Lead efforts to drive EBITDA improvement through baselining operations, procurement, SG&A, and overhead spend, identifying initiatives, and building prioritized roadmaps.
• Integration & Separation Planning: Develop comprehensive integration and separation plans, ranging from high-level blueprints to detailed multi-phase workplans.
• Project Leadership: Provide leadership and support for Integration Management Office (IMO), Separation Management Office (SMO), and Transition Management Office (TMO) activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required; Manager level with core domain knowledge in transaction advisory, management consulting, operational due diligence, integration and separation, corporate strategy, or private equity. An industry-recognized professional certification is also required.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in transaction advisory, management consulting, operational due diligence, integration and separation, corporate strategy, private equity, or a related field. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including financial analysis, data modeling, and process mapping. Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Bonus: MBA preferred. Ability to travel as needed.
