FP&A Analyst | CC Industries
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CC Industries, located in Chicago, IL. Henry Crown & Company/CC Industries is a privately-held, Chicago-based enterprise managing business, philanthropic, and family interests across multiple generations, boasting a 100-year legacy of financial success and community support. This FP&A Analyst role is crucial for developing comprehensive financial reporting, forecasting, valuation, and benchmarking for the entire Crown enterprise. The work directly empowers strategic decision-making for family leadership, independent trustees of family trusts, and individual account holders across all asset classes managed by the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting Development: Partner with FP&A team members in the development of essential annual and quarterly Enterprise Reporting, including critical cash flow forecasting for the entire Crown enterprise.
• Investment Data Support: Contribute to the FP&A Customer Service model by supporting various internal and external stakeholders with comprehensive investment data aggregation, detailed analysis, and customized reporting.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for a variety of investment and family office stakeholders, proactively addressing their inquiries, resolving concerns, and providing exceptional customer service.
• Performance Benchmarking: Implement and continuously monitor benchmarking processes to enable consistent reporting across the enterprise, allowing for comparative performance analysis against established industry standards, and developing performance projections and asset allocation parameters.
• Ad-hoc Financial Analysis: Develop a range of ad-hoc reports, respond to specific data requests, create impactful presentations, and prepare essential board materials to support strategic decision-making and initiatives, both independently and as part of collaborative team projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), or another related business discipline, providing a solid foundation for financial analysis and data management.
• Experience: Bring 0-3 years of relevant professional experience with a background in corporate finance, financial services, investments, or a related discipline, complemented by proven experience utilizing business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau, along with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail, exhibit solid financial analysis capabilities including benchmarking and operating metrics, and show the ability to effectively understand issues, determine root causes, assess risk implications, and provide clear recommendations while fostering strong working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
• Bonus: Hold relevant financial certifications such as a CPA, CFA, or Series 79, which are considered a significant plus; additionally, experience working with direct database connections or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SQL, Oracle, or SAP is beneficial.
