Manager, MandA (Mergers and Acquisitions) | Pizza Hut
The Tone:
This is a full-time hybrid role at Pizza Hut, located in Plano, TX. Pizza Hut operates a global restaurant brand and seeks to accelerate its growth through strategic mergers and acquisitions and commercial development. This role is crucial for supporting the M&A strategy, driving brand acquisitions, and fostering new unit growth through analytical insights and financial expertise. It plays a central role in driving shareholder value by expanding the brand’s footprint around the world.

What You’ll Actually Do
• M&A Tracking: Develop and maintain a system for tracking deal flow, conducting due diligence, and providing second-layer analysis on M&A targets.
• Financial Analysis: Lead robust financial modeling and analysis to inform M&A and development growth decisions, evaluating commercial and policy implications.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare comprehensive deal materials and presentations for senior leadership, Yum Deal Committee, and other stakeholders to secure alignment and approvals.
• Deal Execution: Partner with business markets, cross-functional teams, and external parties to design structures, negotiate deals, and create final binding agreements for brand acquisitions and franchisee growth.
• Strategy & Leadership: Act as a key thought partner to leaders on development strategy and indirectly lead people with a focus on a growth mindset within a diverse, global team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required in Business with a Finance and Accounting concentration; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, or Business Valuation, with exposure to the full deal process.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to influence and build relationships, comfort negotiating and presenting to people in positions of power, self-direction to prioritize and execute independently, strong business acumen with analytical and problem-solving skills, and deep financial analysis capabilities including modeling, valuation, and financial statement analysis.
• Bonus: International experience, knowledge of the restaurant industry and franchise economics, and project management experience.
