The Tone:

• Mission: Drive Zimmer Biomet’s inorganic growth strategy by leading strategic M&A, investment, and partnership opportunities from assessment to execution.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Leadership: Lead financial modeling, valuation, and business case development for M&A, investment, and partnership opportunities.
• Transaction Evaluation: Drive key aspects of transaction evaluation, including strategic fit assessment, market analysis, competitive review, and risk identification.
• Due Diligence Management: Lead diligence workstreams across finance, legal, tax, strategy, regulatory, and business unit teams to support thorough evaluation of opportunities.
• Strategic Alignment: Partner with business units and Corporate Strategy to prioritize opportunities aligned to Zimmer Biomet’s growth objectives and portfolio strategy.
• Executive Communication: Prepare clear, concise, and executive-ready materials, including transaction summaries, investment memos, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree and 8 years relevant experience, or a High School Diploma and 10 years relevant experience, preferably in Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Economics, or Accounting.
• Experience: Six years of experience in M&A, investments, strategic partnerships, and/or corporate development, ideally within MedTech, medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences. This includes direct experience leading core components of M&A or investment transaction processes, such as financial analysis, due diligence, and execution support.
• Skills: Strong understanding of valuation, transaction economics, business case development, and diligence workflows; ability to independently lead complex analyses and manage multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously; effective cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders; strong strategic thinking to connect market trends, competitive dynamics, and portfolio priorities to opportunity assessment; strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex issues into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
• Bonus: MBA or other advanced degree; 8+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, business development, strategic finance, or strategy; prior experience in the MedTech, medical device, or broader life sciences industry, with familiarity in orthopedic or surgical markets; strong financial modeling and business case development experience supporting investment, acquisition, or partnership decisions.
