CIB Private Debt Mobilization – Structured Finance, Executive Director | Santander US

• Team: CIB Private Debt Mobilization, Structured Finance
• Mission: Lead the origination and distribution of complex syndicated bank loans and structured financings within the Structured Finance and Fund Finance sectors across North America.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Origination: Lead the origination of loan syndication, project finance, and structured financing mandates for infrastructure, power, renewables, data center, and energy-related clients across the Americas.
• Client Coverage: Serve as a senior relationship manager and primary client contact for selected sponsors, corporates, developers, and institutional clients, coordinating with Santander Structured Finance bankers.
• Deal Execution: Act as the deal captain, responsible for transaction execution from origination through underwriting, closing, and distribution, aiming for strong risk-adjusted returns and cross-sell outcomes.
• Structuring & Syndication: Lead the structuring of complex financings, including project finance, acquisition finance, and hybrid debt structures, and define and execute the syndication and distribution strategy.
• Leadership: Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to deal team members, fostering a strong performance culture and efficient resource allocation within the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline, with a senior background in loan syndications, project finance, infrastructure finance, private debt mobilization, or leveraged/corporate lending within an investment or corporate banking environment.
• Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience, demonstrating a strong track record of originating and executing complex syndicated loan and project finance transactions.
• Skills: Deep understanding of credit analysis, financial modeling, loan documentation, underwriting, syndication processes, and bank distribution strategy; an established network with sponsors, corporates, developers, commercial banks, and institutional investors; excellent presentation, negotiation, written and verbal communication, and senior client coverage skills.
• Bonus: Master’s Degree or other advanced degree, prior lead arranger or bookrunner experience, and an established network across project finance lenders, infrastructure sponsors, institutional investors, and energy transition clients.
