GBM, Private, Corporate Derivatives, Associate – New York | Goldman Sachs
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Goldman Sachs, located in New York. The Capital Solutions Group provides a comprehensive suite of financing, origination, structuring, and risk management solutions to clients. This role within the Corporate Derivatives desk is integral to educating clients and developing innovative, tailored solutions to maximize value and unlock opportunities, propelling both issuing and investing clients forward.

• Mission: To educate clients and develop innovative solutions tailored to their specific needs, providing interest rate and FX hedging solutions to public and private corporations.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide comprehensive interest rate (fixed/float) and FX hedging (debt currency mix) solutions to public and private corporations across various ratings.
• Structure and execute hedges by utilizing deep knowledge of corporate finance, derivatives, and capital markets.
• Lead the preparation of compelling presentations and marketing materials for client and internal stakeholders.
• Actively prospect and onboard new clients to the Goldman Sachs derivatives platform.
• Prepare and analyze complex derivative pricing models, as well as detailed financial models and company financial statements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a strong academic record with a Bachelor’s or advanced degree, providing a solid foundation in finance and capital markets principles.
• Experience: Possess prior relevant experience with Global Markets products and engaging with multinational corporations.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the capacity to effectively manage multiple projects.
• Bonus: A strong interest in finance, investment banking, and foreign exchange is valued, along with a results-oriented work ethic based on responsibility, enthusiasm, and pride in work. Prior experience with corporate rates is also preferred.
