Chief Financial Officer | East 57th Street Partners
The Tone:
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Financial Officer at East 57th Street Partners, located in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, TX. The company is a private equity-backed platform positioned for aggressive growth through both organic initiatives and strategic acquisitions. This critical role involves building the entire accounting and finance function from scratch—including the people, processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure—to support significant business expansion and a successful future exit. The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, the board, and the private equity sponsor in a highly impactful, builder-oriented position.

• Tech Stack: ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics), FP&A tools.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Build the Function: Design and establish the full accounting and finance organization, including structure, roles, hiring plan, and the selection and optimization of core financial systems.
• Drive Financial Strategy: Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, owning budgeting, forecasting, long-range financial planning, and developing key performance indicator dashboards for business visibility.
• Manage Private Equity & M&A: Act as the primary financial liaison to the private equity sponsor and board, and provide end-to-end support for M&A activities, from diligence and valuation to post-close integration.
• Lead Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain top accounting and finance talent, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while building scalable team structures.
• Ensure Compliance & Risk: Oversee annual audits, tax compliance, insurance programs, and establish robust internal controls to ensure adherence to all regulatory, lender, and sponsor requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Executive-level finance and accounting leadership, including prior experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a private equity-backed environment, possessing a deep technical foundation in GAAP accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, and treasury.
• Experience: 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with a proven track record of building or significantly transforming accounting/finance functions, including systems implementations and team build-outs, and direct experience with M&A activities, PE sponsors, boards, and lenders.
• Skills: Exceptional leadership capabilities for recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing teams; strong systems acumen with ERP selection and implementation experience; and a hands-on operating style combined with strategic thinking.
• Bonus: CPA strongly preferred; MBA a plus.
