Analyst, Private Credit – Portfolio & Account Management | Antares Capital LP

The Tone:
This is an in-person role at Antares Capital LP, located in Chicago, IL or Atlanta, GA. Antares manages one of the largest middle-market portfolios in the private credit space. This role is crucial for overseeing and managing a substantial portfolio of cash flow loans, generating essential portfolio insights, and monitoring market trends. The Analyst will play a key part in managing portfolio-related activities and ensuring data accuracy and compliance within the Portfolio & Analytics team.

• Mission: Overseeing and managing a portfolio of cash flow loans, monitoring industries for insights, and supporting portfolio related transactions including amendments and financings.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, financial spreading software

What You’ll Actually Do
• Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor the performance of assigned cash-flow loan portfolios, including reviewing financial statements and ensuring ongoing compliance with loan agreements and internal policies.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with borrowers, management teams, and third-party lenders and investors, including managing lender portals.
• Due Diligence: Conduct financial and business due diligence, including company and industry research, cash flow modeling, and dataroom analysis for borrower transactions such as amendments and acquisitions.
• Reporting & Presentation: Prepare clear written business updates on portfolio performance, present assigned loan accounts at internal reviews, and proactively highlight issues with assessments and recommendations.
• Transaction Execution: Assist in preparing approval memos, presenting underwriting results to an investment committee, and leading the closing and funding process for portfolio requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, with a preferred concentration in finance, accounting, business, or economics.
• Experience: 3+ years of related experience in areas such as private credit, commercial corporate lending, corporate credit ratings, valuations, or accounting.
• Skills: Proven financial statement analysis, strong written and verbal communication, highly organized with adaptability in deadline-driven environments, ability to work productively in cross-functional teams, and high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and financial spreading software.
• Bonus: Portfolio management experience.
