The Tone:
This is an in-person, full-time role at Stockdale Capital Partners LLC, located in West Los Angeles, Manhattan, or Dallas. Stockdale Capital Partners is a vertically integrated real estate investment firm with a 30-year history of investing in commercial real estate across asset classes throughout the U.S. The firm currently manages over $3 billion in AUM on behalf of several legacy joint ventures and discretionary funds. The Analyst will play an important role in supporting the evaluation and execution of acquisitions and developments, contributing to all aspects of the deal process.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Model Project Finances: Build and maintain detailed financial models using Excel and Argus for acquisition and development projects, incorporating various scenarios and sensitivity analyses.
• Support Negotiations: Assist in negotiations with lenders and investors by analyzing various capital structures and cash flow distribution waterfalls.
• Conduct Research: Perform in-depth research on real estate markets, comparable properties, and potential development sites.
• Prepare Materials: Create presentations and other materials for the investment committee, investors, and lenders.
• Manage Due Diligence: Oversee due diligence, including the analysis and review of market data, financial statements, development budgets, third-party reports, and legal documentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic record, coupled with basic knowledge of real estate finance, valuation, and capital markets.
• Experience: 1-2 years of work experience in a transaction-oriented real estate role (such as private equity, acquisitions, development, structured finance, or investment sales) or an advanced financial role (like investment banking, management consulting, or Big 4 accounting). Candidates must demonstrate an aptitude for financial modeling, research, and underwriting of investments.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking with resourceful problem-solving skills; meticulous attention to detail and pride in their work; superior organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams; thoughtful presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate assumptions, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Bonus: Experience with Argus.
