Financial Analyst II | Varsity Brands

What You’ll Actually Do
• Capital Management: Prepare and validate capital expenditure requests for executive approval.
• Financial Operations: Execute month-end FP&A close activities and manage vendor setup and invoice processing.
• Performance Analysis: Review General and Administrative expenses, analyze current and past financial data to identify trends, and create dashboards to communicate financial performance.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, working closely with the accounting department to understand current month’s entries.
• Systems Optimization: Maintain semantic models across Power BI, Excel, and Anaplan, develop financial reports utilizing multiple datasets, and utilize AI systems to create tools for new insights and task automation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business analytics, or a related field, with a basic understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
• Experience: 1–2 years in financial analysis, corporate finance, FP&A, or accounting, with familiarity in databases, data structures, and AI-assisted analysis tools/prompting.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication; and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: CPA, MBA, or CFA are a plus.
