Analyst | Stockdale Capital Partners LLC

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Stockdale Capital Partners LLC, located in West LA, Manhattan, or Dallas. Stockdale Capital Partners is a vertically integrated real estate investment firm with a 30-year history of investing in commercial real estate, currently managing over $3 billion in AUM across various property types and strategies. The Analyst will play an important role in supporting the evaluation and execution of acquisitions and developments alongside senior management, contributing to all aspects of the deal process. • Mission: This person will support the evaluation and execution of real estate acquisitions and developments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models using Excel and Argus for acquisition and development projects, incorporating various scenarios and sensitivity analyses.
• Capital Structure Analysis: Assist in negotiations with lenders and investors by analyzing various capital structures and cash flow distribution waterfalls, and prepare presentations for investment committee, investors, and lenders.
• Market Research: Perform in-depth research on markets, comparable properties, and development sites, including reviewing offering memorandums, touring properties, and interfacing with brokers.
• Due Diligence & Closing: Manage due diligence activities, which include analyzing and reviewing market data, financial statements, development budgets, third-party reports, and legal documentation, while coordinating transaction closings and communications between parties.
• Asset Management Support: Provide support for asset management activities, including repositioning strategies, refinancings, and dispositions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with an excellent undergraduate record and basic knowledge of real estate finance, valuation, and capital markets.
• Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience in a transaction-oriented real estate role (private equity, acquisitions, development, structured finance, investment sales) or an advanced financial role (investment banking, management consulting, Big 4 accounting).
• Skills: Proficient aptitude for financial modeling, research, and investment underwriting; strong critical thinking with resourceful problem-solving skills; meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams. Thoughtful presentation and communication skills, enabling clear articulation of assumptions and recommendations.
• Bonus: Experience with Argus; ability to work independently within an entrepreneurial, collaborative culture; and a strong desire to learn and positively represent the company.
