Equity Research Analyst (Summer 2027 Start) | Baird
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Baird, located in Milwaukee, WI, with a start date of Summer 2027. Baird’s Equity Capital Markets group consists of over 500 professionals delivering objective research across more than 700 stocks. This role is integral to the research process, enabling the analyst to work with nationally recognized Senior Analysts and provide comprehensive industry and company coverage that informs investment decisions for institutional and individual clients. The quality of this research and strong client relationships drive consistent satisfaction for investors globally.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate: Play an integral role in the research process by joining a focused industry group.
• Analyze: Provide quantitative support for industry- and company-specific research and assist in the preparation of financial models and written reports.
• Research: Collect industry data to develop proprietary research and distribute findings to clients.
• Communicate: Write reports and communicate research findings to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Interact: Discuss research findings with covered company management (CEOs, CFOs), Sales & Trading associates, and institutional clients.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, with a graduation date of December 2026 or Spring 2027. Finance/Accounting degree strongly preferred.
• Experience: A proven track record of academic excellence. Research Analysts are expected to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills. Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Possess a passion for the markets and the ability to work effectively within a team and on a self-directed basis.
