Associate, Fund Administration (Interns) | Juniper Square

The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Juniper Square, with remote opportunities for applicants located in Florida, Illinois, and Indiana. Juniper Square is the Operations Partner for private markets, unifying technology, data, and fund administration services into a single platform. This role matters as an intern will help build out Juniper Square’s Fund Administration service offering, delivering a best-in-class experience to customers and transforming the private markets industry.

• Team: Fund Administration team, partnering with other fund accounting team members and cross-functional teams.
• Mission: Deliver best-in-class Fund Administration services and help transform the Fund Administration offering to Private Markets.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting and Reporting: Perform accounting and analytical reporting duties within a team environment to ensure client and investor deliverables are prepared and completed timely and accurately.
• Financial Statements: Assist with preparing fund financial statements supporting schedules.
• Process Improvement: Participate in team discussions on fund accounting process improvements.
• Data Reconciliation: Reconcile reports from different systems for consistency.
• Audit Preparation: Prepare work papers and complete associated checklists, and assist with annual audits, including preparation of related schedules.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Juniors and Seniors in college working towards graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: Interest in an accounting role with a strong academic foundation in financial accounting.
• Skills: Good analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; deadline-oriented.
• Bonus: Preferred programs of study include accounting, business, finance, or economics; passion for financial markets and a desire to use technology to improve business operations.
