Finance Intern – Financial Modeling & Strategic Analysis | Bristow Group
The Tone:
This is an internship at Bristow Group, a leading global provider of innovative and sustainable vertical flight solutions. Bristow offers aviation services to offshore energy companies and government entities, including personnel transportation, search and rescue (SAR), medevac, and fixed-wing operations worldwide. This role within the Transformation Team is crucial for preparing the company for the next generation of aviation services by evaluating new technologies, operating models, and market opportunities. The intern will directly support real-world business initiatives by providing financial modeling and strategic analysis, contributing to the development of practical pathways for disciplined growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Modeling: Assist in building and refining pro forma financial models, including income statement and cash flow projections.
• Analysis: Support scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate business and investment outcomes.
• Frameworks: Help develop and document financial frameworks supporting strategic and operational decisions.
• Data: Organize and structure data used in modeling and analysis.
• Summaries: Translate financial outputs into clear, decision-ready summaries for stakeholders.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field. This role is designed for students interested in applied corporate finance and real-world business decision support.
• Experience: Prior coursework specifically involving financial modeling or valuation is required for this hands-on role.
• Skills:
• Strong Excel skills for building and refining financial models.
• Working understanding of core finance concepts, including cash flow, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and breakeven analysis.
• Strong analytical thinking and keen attention to detail to support strategic analysis.
• Ability to effectively work with incomplete information and evolving assumptions in a dynamic business environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for clear presentation of financial outputs and collaboration.
• Bonus:
• Familiarity with scenario analysis techniques.
• Experience preparing analytical summaries or presentations.
• Demonstrated interest in technology, aviation, and/or the electrification of transportation.
• Experience using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) in analytical or academic work.
