The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Deutsche Bank, located in New York, NY. Deutsche Bank’s Origination & Advisory business provides a comprehensive range of investment banking products and services for large-cap and mid-cap corporates and financial sponsors globally. This Analyst position is critical for executing complex financial advisory and capital raising services, including mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and restructuring advice, underpinned by one of the world’s largest debt and equity capital markets platforms. The role directly contributes to completing large, multi-dimensional, cross-border, and regional transactions, enabling the firm to maintain its strong global presence.

• Mission: To provide essential quantitative and analytical support for investment banking and capital markets transactions within the Industrials sector.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Execution Support: Provide essential support for the execution of live transactions within the Industrials coverage team, which includes preparing detailed memoranda, presentations, and performing in-depth analysis of client company attributes.
• Financial Transaction Evaluation: Apply a comprehensive range of financial, economic, quantitative, and qualitative methods and principles to effectively evaluate and execute various acquisitions, financings, and equity raising transactions.
• Advanced Financial Modeling: Develop and implement sophisticated financial analyses and models to support deal structuring and valuation efforts.
• Reporting and Communication: Draft and issue final reports summarizing client interactions and discussions for senior management, ensuring continuous and clear communication throughout transaction lifecycles.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree. Possess a foundational background in Investment Banking, with a strong preference for academic and/or work experience related to the Industrials sector.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in providing quantitative and analytical support for complex M&A and capital markets transactions, including IPOs, equity follow-ons, investment grade, and leveraged finance debt offerings. This includes supporting senior bankers through all stages of a transaction lifecycle, from pitching and bake-offs to preparing marketing materials, developing financial models, and overseeing deal execution.
• Skills: Proficiency in quantitative and analytical methods applied to M&A and capital markets. Strong capabilities in performing detailed financial modeling and valuation analyses on both public and private companies. Ability to conduct in-depth company and industry research to bolster live deal execution and pitch materials.
• Bonus: Preferred possession of Series 79 and Series 63 licensing.
