Finance & Ops Lead | Ammobia

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Ammobia, located in San Francisco, CA, with some hybrid flexibility and occasional business travel. Ammobia is a pioneering company building essential infrastructure for fuel, fertilizer, and the future of energy by developing a breakthrough modular Haber-Bosch 2.0 technology. This high-impact, hands-on role reports directly to the CEO and is central to how Ammobia funds its growth across various financing instruments, offering significant room for career growth.

• Mission: Owns the financial strategy, data room, and FP&A support to fund Ammobia’s growth across venture equity, grants, venture debt, and project finance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financing Strategy: Co-lead and execute Ammobia’s financing strategy across equity and non-dilutive funding.
• Alternative Funding: Lead alternative and non-dilutive financing workstreams from initiation to close, including grants, venture debt, and project-level debt/equity.
• Fundraising Operations: Build and maintain the financial model, manage the data room, and drive investor and lender due diligence alongside the founders.
• Commercial Support: Support the founders and commercial team by maintaining the commercial pipeline, tracking deals, partners, and off-take conversations.
• Financial Planning: Support FP&A by coordinating with accounting, tax, and legal; build and maintain budgets, track spend, and prepare board and investor reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level with essential experience in finance and capital-raising.
• Experience: 4+ years across corporate finance and/or project or structured finance (e.g., project/infrastructure finance, energy/climate investing, consulting, or finance at a fast-growing startup); hands-on experience with capital raising and/or structuring across equity, grants, venture debt, and project finance.
• Skills: Hands-on financial modeling ability (build, stress-test, and defend complex models); comfortable wearing many hats and owning end-to-end workstreams in fast-moving environments; passion for climate tech and/or heavy industry.
• Bonus: Project finance, infrastructure, or energy-sector finance experience; experience with grants and government funding (US and International) and with blended-finance; prior experience at an early-stage hardware or climate-tech startup; experience delivering first-of-a-kind projects or in-the-field commercial pilots; experience setting up finance systems, tools, or processes; CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent.
