This is a professional role at Grant Morgan, located in Washington, DC. Grant Morgan is a prominent vertically integrated investment and management firm specializing in high-performing commercial real estate assets within key US markets, with a specific focus on special situation investing and commercial real estate credit. This role is integral to their rapidly expanding Capital Markets team, supporting the company’s objective to continue growing its national footprint, which currently spans 10 million square feet, and drive value creation through strategic acquisitions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Evaluate: Evaluate, pursue, and execute investment opportunities across various property sectors and capital structures, including equity, preferred equity, mezzanine, and senior debt.
• Research: Conduct comprehensive asset and market-level research and due diligence to thoroughly assess potential transaction opportunities.
• Model: Develop complex Excel models to analyze various capital structures, generate detailed return estimates, and create accurate property cash flow projections, integrating ARGUS outputs.
• Synthesize: Prepare clear and concise presentations and memos for internal committee review processes.
• Coordinate: Actively participate in live deal processes, including coordinating and contributing to the review and analysis of all due diligence materials.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance, accompanied by professional experience in real estate or finance-related fields.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills and solid financial aptitude, with critical attention to detail and accuracy; exemplary communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple transactions and work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Bonus: Proficiency in ARGUS is strongly preferred.
