Field Marketing and Engagement Intern | Parkhurst Dining

The Tone:
This is a paid internship at Parkhurst Dining, an on-campus role located at a designated account. Parkhurst Dining is a family-owned company providing culinary, dining, and catering services to over 80 organizations and universities, focused on scratch-made, locally sourced food. This role supports the successful activation of the brand and the execution of the field marketing roadmap, playing a crucial part in creating engaging social communication, marketing campaigns, promotions, and interactive events. The intern will help drive desired results by understanding market trends and fostering community engagement.

• Team: Collaborates with Field Marketing team and account leader; reports to Manager for risks.
• Mission: Support successful Brand Activation and execute the field marketing roadmap at a designated account.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Brand Activation: Partner to activate interactive marketing and promotional activities, including pop-ups, demos, and tastings, within budget.
• Campaign Development: Work with the on-site management team to develop effective and unique marketing campaigns and communications that meet campus community needs.
• Social Media: Coordinate the execution and interaction of social media strategy designed to engage and inform target audiences.
• Content Creation: Create physical and digital marketing materials aligned with brand specifications to promote engagement on campus and social media platforms.
• Guest Insights: Act as a student liaison to campus departments and organizations, assisting with dining committee meetings or feedback events to obtain guest insights.
• Event Support: Contribute to planning and executing the account’s participation in campus and community events to promote dining programs and increase sales.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current university student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Experience utilizing social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram; ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail; ability to learn and apply new information; technologically savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: A confident, outgoing, upbeat, friendly personality; demonstrated team player.
