This role is crucial for a central platform team within the Systems Department, which provides essential resource and infrastructure service capabilities. The intern will contribute to building a global infrastructure digital platform that empowers the department’s operational efficiency and scalability.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Platform Development: Build ByteDance’s global infrastructure digital platform, focusing on backend development for business operation systems across procurement, delivery, planning, asset management, IDC operation and maintenance, and cost management.
• Development Cycle Management: Execute the full development cycle, encompassing requirement analysis, solution design, technical feasibility studies, code implementation, and unit testing.
• Incident Resolution: Timely respond to and resolve critical live issues and production emergencies as they arise.
• Infrastructure Services: Contribute to providing reliable, convenient, and unified resource and infrastructure service capabilities as part of a central platform team.
• Operational Empowerment: Support the department’s operational efficiency and scalability through contributions to end-to-end capacity delivery, asset management, and server fleet management.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student in their final year or graduating with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Able to commit to a 12-week internship in 2026. Demonstrated solid coding capabilities with a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Go, or C/C++.
• Bonus: Experience with MySQL and Redis use and optimization, strong understanding of Linux systems, TCP/UDP, and HTTP protocols. A proactive approach to understanding the source code implementations of mainstream frameworks, combined with exceptional learning agility, a strong sense of responsibility, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
