This is a full-time internship at UBS, located in Columbia, SC. UBS is a leading and truly global wealth manager, recognized as the leading universal bank in Switzerland. The firm provides a comprehensive suite of financial services, including diversified asset management solutions and focused investment banking capabilities, operating in over 50 markets worldwide. This internship offers a unique opportunity to directly contribute to a WMA branch office that delivers advice-based solutions. Interns will work with experts to learn about the industry, clients, and firm, gaining valuable insight, developing new skills, and establishing a professional network within a client-focused environment.

• Mission: Support wealth management experts and contribute to projects that have real impact on clients, gaining insight into the wealth management industry, its culture, and strategic operations.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Projects: Work on projects that have a tangible impact on clients and their financial well-being.
• Expert Support: Provide direct support to our team of wealth management experts, assisting them in their daily operations.
• Industry Learning: Attend presentations by WMA leaders and participate in internal and external partner sessions to gain insight into the industry, culture, strategy, and product knowledge.
• Marketing & Events: Plan team marketing events and prepare necessary materials.
• Business Assistance: Assist with the day-to-day responsibilities involved in running an entrepreneurial business model within our branch office.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student. Must be currently enrolled in a two or four-year college or university, demonstrating solid academic performance and active campus involvement.
• Experience: A genuine and clear interest in developing a career in Wealth Management.
• Skills: Ability to analyze problems, generate ideas, and make sound decisions; demonstrate good judgment; capability to plan, organize, and execute tasks effectively; strong communication and teamwork abilities; a positive, can-do approach and persistence in completing tasks.
• Bonus: Evidence of strong transferable skills gained through achievements such as participation in team sports, organizing volunteer projects, or excelling in challenging academic courses.
