Guest Coordinator | Ulta Beauty

The Tone:
This is an in-person role at Ulta Beauty. The company is the largest North American beauty retailer, offering cosmetics, fragrance, skin care, hair care, and salon services to consumers. This role is crucial for engaging directly with guests, promoting Ulta Beauty’s services business, and representing the brand’s image and culture, ensuring a welcoming and innovative experience for all.

• Mission: Drive service sales and foster guest loyalty by engaging with customers and promoting Ulta Beauty’s offerings.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Guest Engagement: Provide exceptional guest service by acknowledging all guests in the Salon, Haircare, and Skincare areas, engaging them through phone and in-person interactions, and developing lasting relationships.
• Sales & Promotion: Build the services business by informing guests of current promotions, events, and loyalty programs, confidently inviting them to try services, and offering professional product and service recommendations.
• Operational Support: Manage the services booking system, guest records, and salon traffic flow, answer salon phone calls, handle sales, refunds, and exchanges, and resolve guest concerns courteously.
• Team Collaboration: Influence and support service providers in executing their daily appointments, rebooking, and new guest acquisition behaviors, while collaborating with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Store Standards: Maintain outstanding operational standards, including salon cleanliness and compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional, preferably with a high school diploma, demonstrating a passion for the beauty industry and aptitude to learn and communicate salon services and product knowledge.
• Experience: Possesses at least 1 year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Skills: Proficient with basic technology, including Point of Sale systems, Apple devices, and services booking systems; demonstrates significant competency in sales, products, and services; and excels in building and maintaining strong customer relationships through strong communication.
• Abilities: Capable of troubleshooting, working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and adhering to Ulta Beauty’s dress code and operational standards.
