App Delivery Intern | Quad
The Tone:
This is a year-round internship at Quad, located in Sussex, WI, with a hybrid working environment. Quad’s Global Infrastructure Services department is dedicated to managing the complete lifecycle of the company’s infrastructure systems, core software platforms, and automation. This role is crucial for supporting application virtualization and business systems, providing interns with exposure to essential technologies and key business operations.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during Spring/Fall, Full-time (37.5-40 hours/week) during Summer
• Location: Hybrid, Sussex, WI
• Team: Application virtualization and business systems technical team within Global Infrastructure Services.
• Mission: Assist in the planning, installation, support, and optimization of application delivery platforms and core business systems.
• Tech Stack: Citrix, Horizon, virtual compute, networking, security configuration, Microsoft Windows OS and Server, Linux Systems, OS Upgrades, Virtualization, Active Directory/Group Policy, IT Security, AI, Software Lifecycle Management, PowerShell, VB script, Python
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist with the day-to-day operations and support activities for IT infrastructure and operations teams.
• Growth: Work under the guidance of an experienced team member, steadily taking on more responsibilities as capabilities develop.
• Mentorship: Receive dedicated mentorship from an experienced team member to foster professional growth.
• Development: Collaborate with your manager to define and pursue professional development goals.
• Contribution: Directly contribute to the success of the department by engaging with various teams across Quad IT.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently enrolled in a degree program such as MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Possesses general knowledge and/or interest in infrastructure components.
• Experience: Experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems.
• Skills: Familiarity with scripting or programming languages like PowerShell, VB script, or Python. Demonstrates a natural curiosity for understanding how technology can solve business problems, and is proactive, eager to learn, and ready to contribute.
