Marketing & Sales (Growth) Intern | Starbeam
The Tone:
This is an internship / early career role at Starbeam, located remotely with required in-person meetings with campus teams at your school. Starbeam is an AI-powered wellness startup currently in stealth mode, preparing society for the social upheavals anticipated from AI, such as mass job displacement, negative health impacts, and an increase in mental illnesses. The company aims to be a dominant AI company upon its launch in Fall 2026. This role is crucial for launching Starbeam’s free agentic AI consumer app across US college campuses and later supporting the expansion of its enterprise AI services to businesses.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Create Sales Materials: Create and customize sales presentations and scripts using AI tools.
• Identify & Manage Leads: Identify influencers and leaders relevant to the target audience through web research and social media channels.
• Maintain Data: Populate and manage CRM databases and prospect profiles to track outreach efforts.
• Conduct Outreach: Utilize warm and cold outreach strategies to build and maintain relationships with student organizations, club leaders, and social media influencers on campus.
• Generate Content: Represent Starbeam through active content creation, including short-form video, engaging social media posts, and written features in your school newspaper or other campus media outlets.
• Boost SEO: Write articles and online content about Starbeam to ensure the brand surfaces prominently when individuals search for AI tools such as ChatGPT and Perplexity.
• Learn & Certify: Take advantage of free online courses to become certified in AI tools and HubSpot sales and marketing, enhancing your professional skillset.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current college student majoring in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Communications, or related fields. Consideration will also be given to high school students who demonstrate extraordinary interest in the field.
• Experience: Ability to commit a minimum of 5 hours per week for a minimum 2-month commitment. This role offers flexible hours to accommodate other commitments.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on producing original content without relying on AI for generation. Strong interpersonal skills, fostering the ability to build and grow a professional network. A keen interest in sales and marketing as a possible career path.
