Commercial Real Estate Intern | Red Tail Acquisitions
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Red Tail Acquisitions, an entity focused on commercial real estate, located in Timber Grove, Minneapolis, MN. This role provides a practical introduction to the commercial real estate sector, offering hands-on experience in essential functions such as leasing, business development, tenant relations, and property operations. It is designed to expose the intern to both client-facing responsibilities and critical administrative support, thereby building a foundational understanding of property management and leasing processes. The intern will develop professional skills in communication, organization, market research, and business development, directly contributing to the company’s operational initiatives.

• Team: Works with leasing, property management, and operations teams, reporting to the Regional Commercial Property Manager.
• Mission: To gain practical experience in commercial real estate by supporting leasing activities, engaging in business development outreach, managing tenant relations, and assisting with property operations, ultimately contributing to efficient property management and successful leasing outcomes.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CRM systems (a plus)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Leasing Support: Assist with leasing activities, including property tours, prospect follow-up, and tenant communications.
• Business Development: Support business development and leasing outreach efforts through phone calls, emails, and lead tracking.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive property analysis to inform strategies.
• Documentation Preparation: Help prepare leasing packages, proposals, presentations, and essential lease documentation.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate prospect, tenant, and property records within company systems.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student; high school diploma or equivalent required, currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Experience: None specified; previous customer service, sales, administrative, or office experience is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), commercial leasing and tenant relations, business development and prospect outreach, market research and competitive analysis, professional communication and client service.
• Bonus: Experience with CRM systems.
