Global Sourcing Specialist (Co-op) | Verkada

This Global Sourcing Specialist (Co-op) role is central to managing the direct procurement and supply chain for Verkada’s hardware, crucial for bringing high-quality products to market quickly. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a rapidly scaling company whose platform impacts communities globally, from retailers deterring theft to schools ensuring safety.

• Team: Global Sourcing team, responsible for all direct procurement associated with Verkada’s Hardware.
• Mission: Support direct sourcing strategy and execution for a product line, managing costs, contracts, and supplier relationships to bring high-quality products to market quickly.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support senior sourcing members with end-to-end hardware sourcing responsibilities for Verkada Product Line(s) during New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass Production (MP) phases.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts for various operational aspects, including cost management and margin analysis.
• Find, audit, onboard, and manage suppliers, including cultivating effective relationship management.
• Collaborate with and influence cross-functional internal and external teams to facilitate the delivery of new products.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing a BS/MS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar fields of study.
• Experience: Prior internship experience delivering results on challenging hardware operations initiatives. Ability to work across different time zones and attend meetings outside of traditional business hours. Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.
• Skills: Contract negotiation, cost management and analysis, supplier identification and relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration.
