Environmental Analyst | ERG

The Tone:
This is an entry-level role at ERG, a research and consulting firm that offers support to federal, state, and commercial clients. ERG provides multidisciplinary teams with expertise in engineering, science, economics, public health, informational technology, and communications. This position is crucial for supporting public sector clients and programs, specifically focusing on clean transportation and circular economy initiatives, within a vibrant and flexible environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Creation: Develop communications content and materials tailored to target audiences.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage stakeholders through interviews, focus groups, and other meeting formats.
• Event Coordination: Coordinate event logistics and provide comprehensive virtual and in-person meeting support.
• Research & Reporting: Conduct research, analyze data, write case studies and reports, and disseminate the results.
• Grant Program Support: Support grant programs by responding to applicant questions, reviewing applications, conducting on-site inspections, and developing outreach materials.

The Must-Haves
• Background: B.S./B.A. in Environmental Studies/Science, Environmental Policy, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience, including writing for diverse audiences (technical, public, industry) and mediums (print, web, social).
• Skills: Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities; able to balance and prioritize competing deadlines while working independently and collaborating effectively; excellent written communication skills, capable of distilling technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
