The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at The Walt Disney Company, based in Burbank, CA. FX is seeking a Coordinator to provide essential support for its Communications & Publicity team, which oversees media relations and public image for its original programming. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless information flow within the department, providing high-level administrative assistance to the Head of Communications & Publicity, and assisting with corporate communications, media relations, and international publicity efforts. This Coordinator will also serve as the department’s central operations point.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Executive Support: Provide executive support to the FX Head of Communications & Publicity, including travel coordination, expense processing, and heavy scheduling.
• Communications Assistance: Assist with press release development and distribution, conducting research to support communications strategy, including media outlet research, reporter lists, and industry trend tracking.
• Media Relations: Monitor media coverage, track press, and maintain accurate, current press materials and records for the team.
• Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of publicity events such as junkets, premieres, and screenings, including on-the-ground support as needed.
• Department Operations: Serve as the department’s central operations Coordinator, assisting with departmental logistics including meeting coordination, supply ordering, and invoice processing.

The Must-Haves
• Background: 2+ years of experience in publicity, communications, marketing, media or a related field, with a strong interest in entry-level publicity and communications for television, streaming, and original programming.
• Experience: 2+ years in publicity, communications, marketing, media, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with presentation and collaboration tools. Availability to work occasional nights and weekends as needed to support events and publicity activities.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently with minimal direction. Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities, including senior executives, media, and talent.
• Bonus: Experience working with media, technology, or entertainment communications teams; deep passion for pop-culture and entertainment; familiarity with media monitoring tools and social media platforms; strong understanding of media and digital trends; Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
