What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop Global Infrastructure: Be responsible for building ByteDance’s global infrastructure digital platform, contributing to its design and implementation.
• Create Business Operation Systems: Undertake backend development for essential business operation systems covering procurement, delivery, planning, asset management, Internet Data Center (IDC) operation and maintenance, and cost management.
• Execute Full Cycle Development: Perform complete development lifecycle tasks, including detailed requirement analysis, comprehensive solution design, technical feasibility studies, robust code implementation, and thorough unit testing.
• Resolve Production Issues: Timely respond to and resolve critical live issues or production emergencies to ensure system stability and reliability.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Final year student or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Experience: Ability to commit to a 12-week internship in 2026, demonstrating a strong passion for programming alongside solid coding capabilities and a foundational understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, or C/C++; practical experience with and optimization of MySQL and Redis; solid knowledge of Linux systems, TCP/UDP, and HTTP protocols; exceptional learning agility, strong sense of responsibility, and a proactive mindset.
• Bonus: Demonstrated initiative to understand the source code implementations of mainstream frameworks; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
