Digital Marketing Intern – Fall 2026 | Pacers Sports & Entertainment

The Tone:
This is an internship at Pacers Sports & Entertainment, located in Indianapolis, IN. The company manages the digital presence for multiple sports and entertainment brands, including the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever. This role is crucial for assisting the Digital Marketing team in enhancing online fan engagement and expanding our digital reach. You will help create compelling content for email marketing and mobile app experiences across our diverse brand portfolio.

• Team: Digital Marketing team, collaborating with Ticketing, Customer Insights & Engagement, Brand Marketing, and Corporate Partnerships
• Mission: Assist in the creation of marketing emails, mobile app content development and management, general content ideation, and game night coverage for Pacers Sports & Entertainment’s brands.
• Tech Stack: Salesforce Marketing Cloud (preferred), Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop emphasis), Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Email Content: Create and distribute marketing messages to targeted customer segments, including season ticket holders and newsletter subscribers.
• Mobile App Content: Develop and implement content into the official Pacers and Fever mobile apps to enhance user experience.
• Content Ideation: Generate and execute general content ideas across various brands and digital platforms.
• Database Growth: Develop fan acquisition programs to expand digital follower and subscriber databases.
• Performance Analysis: Track, report, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement rates, open rates, click-throughs, and total revenue for email and app content.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled in a college or university program as a junior, senior, or graduate student, seeking experience in digital marketing.
• Experience: Required experience in Adobe Creative Cloud, with a strong emphasis on Photoshop.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, high level of attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Experience with email marketing platforms, specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud, is preferred. Ability to work two to three days in the office per week, along with evenings and weekends for game coverage.
