Business Intelligence Intern | WebMD

The Tone:
This is an internship at WebMD. What You’ll Actually Do
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between Sales stakeholders and the Business Intelligence team, gathering requirements for reporting and analytics.
• Project Oversight: Manage and track business intelligence project requests within YouTrack, ensuring accurate communication and timely delivery.
• Data Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance checks on reports, dashboards, and various data deliverables before distribution to stakeholders.
• Performance Analysis: Analyze business performance data, identifying key trends, insights, and opportunities for various WebMD business units.
• Process Optimization: Support the automation of recurring reports and improve manual processes to enhance operational efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data organization, and experience working with large datasets in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while translating data into actionable business insights.
• Bonus: Understanding of data cleaning, validation, and reporting concepts; exposure to BI or analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker); basic understanding of SQL or willingness to learn database querying concepts (Snowflake, BigQuery); prior experience in digital marketing, healthcare, media, or customer analytics; experience with project management or ticketing systems (YouTrack, Jira, Asana).
