Content Producer Intern | Hville Blast

The Tone:
This is an internship at Hville Blast, located in Huntsville, AL. Hville Blast operates as a local digital media outlet, dedicated to curating and sharing engaging content about the latest happenings, new businesses, and must-visit places within the Huntsville community. This role is crucial for expanding the company’s social media presence across various platforms and directly contributes to keeping the local community well-informed and connected through compelling digital storytelling.

The TL;DR

• Mission: This person will create and distribute compelling social media and written content to inform and engage the Huntsville community.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Video Production: Produce, film, and edit short videos for platforms like Reels and TikToks.
• Content Strategy: Contribute original content ideas during team brainstorms and meetings.
• Visual Asset Creation: Capture photos and videos for various social media accounts.
• Written Content: Craft engaging stories using WordPress and write copy for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Event Coverage: Report on local events, grand openings, and client engagements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student (undergraduate or post-graduate) who demonstrates a genuine curiosity and passion for learning about local events, new restaurant openings, unique recreational opportunities, and upcoming business developments within the Huntsville area.
• Experience: Proven experience in crafting engaging written copy that is tailored to perform well on different digital platforms. Demonstrated ability to create short-form video content, whether developed for personal enjoyment or professional projects, specifically for platforms like TikTok or Instagram Reels. Prior exposure to managing multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Skills:
• Professional Writing: Ability to transform diverse topics into engaging copy that resonates with target audiences and performs effectively across various social media platforms.
• Visual Storytelling: A strong eye for visual composition, including framing perfect shots and consistently identifying opportunities to capture compelling photos and videos. This includes practical experience with filming and editing short video content.
• Communication & Demeanor: Professionalism in both written and verbal communication, coupled with comfort and confidence when speaking on camera for content production.
• Organization & Adaptability: Highly organized and efficient, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and quickly adapting to new requirements or changing priorities as a proactive self-starter.
• Bonus:
