Software Development Engineer in Test Intern (TikTok-Growth)- 2026 Summer (BS/MS) | TikTok

The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at TikTok, located in the United States. TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, focused on inspiring creativity and bringing joy to its global user base. This role is crucial to the TikTok Engineering Test team, which ensures the delivery of innovative and high-quality core product features for the TikTok application. The intern will contribute directly to guaranteeing the successful release of new features and enhancements, maintaining continuous quality at speed from development to production.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Product Lifecycle Participation: Actively participate across the entire product development lifecycle, collaborating with product managers and developers to deliver high-quality products.
• Quality Improvement: Improve product quality and user experience through comprehensive analysis of quality and efficiency data.
• Tool Development: Develop specialized tools or platforms aimed at enhancing development efficiency and refining quality assurance strategies.
• System Enhancement: Contribute to the planning and construction of the quality system, implementing innovative testing methods like automation, unattended testing, and intelligent testing.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, intending to return to a degree program after the internship.
• Experience: Familiarity with Java, Python, Objective-C, or Golang, with experience in related project development, and a commitment to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
• Skills: Fluent in Python, good understanding of software development cycle, strong grasp of software quality and testing principles, and a good understanding of RPC/REST API web services.
• Bonus: Experienced in automation testing frameworks.
