This is an entry-level, developmental role at CooperVision, located on-site in Henrietta, NY, with occasional travel. This role is designed to build foundational data analytics and visualization skills, directly supporting senior analysts in data collection, visual design, and reporting to enhance data storytelling and consistent output across the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Analysis: Perform basic data analysis to support insights and decision-making.
• Reporting & Visualization: Prepare simple reports and visualizations, ensuring they align with established metrics and reporting standards for clarity and consistency.
• Data Quality: Collect, organize, and validate distribution data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established data quality standards and procedures.
• Visual Design: Execute visual design activities within Tableau Desktop, which includes rebuilding visuals for straightforward reports, applying dashboard templates, and developing standardized reporting templates.
• Support: Work on minor tickets such as break/fixes and investigations, providing essential support to senior analysts and assisting with data recalibrations on a six-month cadence using Tableau or Excel.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level, developmental role. Minimum qualification includes an Associate degree with 1 or more years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology. Alternatively, 2 years of relevant experience in data collection, data entry, reporting, or analytics support is acceptable.
• Experience: Relevant experience in data collection or data entry is required. Experience of 0 to 1+ years in SQL is needed, specifically writing simple queries that include joins, filtering, and aggregation. Preferred experience is in a warehouse setting or manufacturing.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and basic analysis functions. A basic understanding of analytics, including statistical analysis, pattern recognition, data interpretation, and problem-solving, is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment are also required.
• Bonus: Experience of 0 to 3+ years in Tableau Desktop or PowerBI, or an equivalent data visualization tool. Experience with Tableau Prep or Alteryx. Experience writing scripts using Microsoft PowerShell.
