College Intern – Learning Solutions | Salt River Project

The Tone:
This is an internship at Salt River Project, located in Tempe, AZ. SRP is one of the largest public power and water utilities in the U.S., providing electricity and water to approximately one million customers in the greater Phoenix area, and is dedicated to stewardship and customer service. This role is crucial for supporting SRP’s Learning Solutions Team, offering hands-on experience in managing the Learning Management System and ensuring efficient training for employees across the business. By addressing service requests and improving learning processes, this intern helps SRP deliver reliable, affordable, and sustainable resources to Arizona.

• Team: Learning Solutions Team, collaborating with LMS Administrators and Instructional Designers
• Mission: Primarily solves user issues by being the first responder to Learning Management System service ticket requests.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Respond: Address computer-based training needs and coordinate instructor-led course additions within the Learning Management System.
• Document: Gather, organize, and document business and functional requirements for learning solutions.
• Maintain: Support the creation and ongoing maintenance of process flows and business documentation related to learning environments.
• Analyze: Examine current business processes to identify and propose opportunities for improvement within learning solutions.
• Collaborate: Work closely with team members to clarify business needs and align on solution expectations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student with a high school diploma or equivalent, currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
• Experience: Currently engaged in academic studies providing practical exposure to process documentation, stakeholder collaboration, testing support, and solution delivery.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking, collaborative team interaction, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities effectively.
• Bonus: Preferred college-level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution in areas such as general administrative principles, communications, training, or business.
