The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at The CAR Group (Norm Reeves Dealerships), located in Cerritos, CA. The company operates a centralized IT Department that delivers essential services to a growing network of retail automotive dealerships across Southern California, Texas, and Florida. This role is a vital part of the NR Tech Team, focusing on “Wow!”-ing customers by providing outstanding IT services. The internship offers extensive hands-on experience across various IT functions, helping to jumpstart your career and enhance technical expertise with mentorship from seasoned professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Technical Support: Provide technical support to employees and stakeholders via phone, in-person, and text-based channels.
• System Management: Participate in employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup, device preparation, and access management.
• Equipment Maintenance: Install, label, inspect, and maintain technology equipment and tech areas across all dealership locations.
• Operational Efficiency: Assist in reducing overall support ticket volume within the ITIL-based ticketing system and maintain IT documentation.
• Project Collaboration: Collaborate with the IT department on projects and initiatives that support company-wide technology goals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a college Junior or Senior, studying IT or a similar relevant field.
• Experience: A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Skills: Strong technology literacy, especially with Microsoft applications; Exceptional communication skills; Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI tools and automation platforms, and a willingness to learn how they support IT operations.
