Investment Analyst | Turn/River Capital
The Tone:
This is an entry-level, two-year Analyst program at Turn/River Capital, located in San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid work model. Turn/River Capital is a private equity firm that applies a growth engineering strategy to partner with software businesses, aiming to accelerate their growth and build enduring value. The firm’s team, composed of both investors and operators, provides hands-on operational support and flexible capital to systematically scale marketing, sales, and customer success at its portfolio companies. In this role, you will be critical to Turn/River’s investment strategy by identifying and evaluating B2B software businesses, engaging with their CEOs, and learning modern growth strategies, with opportunities to advance into partner-track roles.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Market Analysis: Identify and define market opportunities and verticals that align with Turn/River’s investment interests.
• Company Engagement: Engage with interesting companies and their CEOs that fit the target investment profile to generate excitement about Turn/River.
• Opportunity Qualification: Qualify companies through conversations and various operational and financial metrics, then present these findings to the broader investment team.
• Deal Execution: Partner with investment professionals to deploy capital and execute transactions.
• Sourcing Strategy: Actively build and carry out sourcing processes, technologies, and positioning by A/B testing various marketing, sales, and growth best practices.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate degree from a competitive program, with demonstrated strong academic performance, and an interest in tech and finance.
• Experience: Entry-level, two-year Analyst program. No prior finance experience or coursework is required.
• Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, avid self-learner, ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with extreme attention to detail, strong project management and organizational skills.
• Bonus: Experience in B2B software, finance, and proficiency with sales tools is a plus. Candidates from varied undergraduate backgrounds, including marketing, communications, business, political science, and psychology, are encouraged.
