What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Creation: Write compelling captions and detailed descriptions specifically for the For the Strength of Youth Instagram, Facebook, and Strive to Be YouTube channels.
• Research & Engagement: Interview youth globally to gather diverse perspectives and content ideas for social media.
• Community Interaction: Respond thoughtfully to YouTube comments, fostering positive engagement with the audience.
• Optimization: Assist with SEO strategies to ensure digital content reaches and engages the intended youth audience effectively.
• Content Adaptation: Transform longer-form articles and stories into concise, engaging short-form captions suitable for various social media platforms.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university, or have completed a degree within one year prior to starting the internship. A strong foundational understanding of Church doctrine and a personal love for the gospel of Jesus Christ are essential for this role.
• Experience: At least one year of proven college-level writing experience. A background or demonstrated interest in social media marketing, general content creation, professional writing, or editing is highly recommended.
• Skills: Sound understanding and the ability to fluently speak and write in English. The capacity for creative thinking to develop fresh and engaging content ideas. The ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet various deadlines simultaneously. Careful attention to detail and accuracy in all written work. Demonstrated professionalism and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
• Bonus: Proficiency in a second language is a plus. While all majors are considered, candidates studying Communications, Social Media Marketing, or Writing and Editing are particularly sought after for this position.
