Software Engineer Intern | Pulsewave
The Tone:
This is an internship at Pulsewave, located remotely with a preference for the Bay Area. Pulsewave is building a new platform for DJ analytics, enabling DJs to record, analyze, and visualize their sets using real-time performance data and AI-driven insights. The company’s mission is to integrate analytics into music performance, helping DJs and producers understand crowd energy, track appeal, and creative flow through powerful visual feedback. This role is crucial for bringing the existing Figma prototype to life, contributing significantly to the company’s journey from concept to MVP.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Convert a complete Figma design into a functional Flutter/iOS application.
• Integrate: Build back-end integrations using Firebase or Supabase for authentication, profile data, and cloud storage.
• Implement: Create audio playback and visualization features within the application.
• Collaborate: Participate in early-stage product design cycles and feature iteration.
• Architect: Contribute to designing the overall application architecture, including front-end, back-end, and music analytics components.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student interested in both music and code who is looking for hands-on experience in early-stage product development.
• Experience: Experience with a cross-platform framework such as Flutter or React Native. Familiarity with back-end services like Firebase, Supabase, or AWS Amplify.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Dart, JavaScript, or similar programming languages. Comfort in translating Figma designs into responsive UI.
• Bonus: Interest in music production, AI/audio technology, or startup development.
