This internship offers a critical opportunity to support our finance or accounting department, contributing through basic accounting tasks, meticulous data entry, and comprehensive financial record keeping. The role is designed to provide robust, hands-on experience, allowing you to develop practical knowledge in core accounting principles, financial reporting methodologies, and overall business operations.

• Mission: Assist with fundamental accounting tasks, data entry, and financial record keeping to support business operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting Support: Actively assist in the preparation of various financial records, reports, and detailed statements, ensuring their ongoing maintenance.
• Transactional Data Management: Precisely perform data entry tasks for a range of financial items, including invoices, expenses, and other business transactions.
• Account Reconciliation Assistance: Provide direct support in the reconciliation of bank statements and various company accounts, aiming for accuracy and completeness.
• Core Process Contribution: Support essential accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, contributing to the efficient flow of financial operations.
• Document Management and Auditing: Aid in the thorough auditing and meticulous review of financial documents for accuracy, while also organizing and filing both physical and digital records systematically.
• Compliance and Closing Support: Help prepare necessary tax documents and compliance reports, and actively participate in key month-end and year-end closing processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of accounting principles and core financial concepts.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, along with familiarity in utilizing accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms. Prior internship experience or relevant coursework specifically related to accounting practices is beneficial.
• Skills: Exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, coupled with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities. Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Bonus: Familiarity with established financial reporting standards, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and practical experience with various data analysis tools.
