Marketing Assistant | Macmillan Learning

This is a full-time, entry-level Marketing Assistant role at Macmillan Learning, a company dedicated to transforming education through pioneering products and learning materials. • Mission: Support the execution and maintenance of marketing operations processes, systems, and workflows to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the team.
• Tech Stack: Marketo, Salesforce, Jeto, Campaigner, Asana, Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Platform Maintenance: Maintain marketing system platforms and data integrity by updating forms, templates, emails, and other operational assets within Marketo and related systems, assisting with list imports, and performing data cleanup in Marketo and Salesforce.
• Request Coordination: Coordinate the intake of operational requests, manage requests submitted through the Marketing Ops Help Request queue, complete requests according to established procedures, and communicate progress updates to stakeholders.
• Jeto Management: Assist in the creation, editing, and maintenance of Jeto launchers and related documentation by updating launcher fields, creating and versioning launchers, and testing for quality assurance.
• Documentation Support: Update existing documentation, process guides, and training materials, maintain shared operational resources, and assist with process organization and updates as workflows evolve.
• Campaign Assistance: Support campaign operations by assisting with the setup, maintenance, scheduling, and deployment of campaign assets within Marketo, and provide backup for operational campaigns during team absences or high-volume periods.
• Project Coordination: Coordinate projects and manage tasks within Asana by creating, updating, and maintaining tasks, timelines, and project information, assisting with large-scale maintenance efforts, and supporting Asana administration activities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree; an interest in learning marketing operations systems and processes.
• Experience: Experience with Google Workspace, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Drive.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly, strong written and verbal communication, strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and technical aptitude with an interest in systems, operations, and process-oriented work.
• Bonus: Prior internship or full-time professional experience in marketing, operations, administration, or related fields; familiarity with marketing automation or CRM platforms such as Marketo or Salesforce; familiarity with project management tools such as Asana; experience working with data entry, spreadsheets, or operational systems; willingness to learn and keep up with emerging technologies; strong interest in the intersection of marketing, technology, and education.
