AI / ML / Data Science Intern | Kaizen Technologies

The Tone:
This is an unpaid, 6-month internship at Kaizen Technologies, located in New Jersey. Kaizen Technologies offers hands-on experience working on real-world AI projects, data analytics, and LLM-based applications. This role is crucial for individuals passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Prompt Engineering, and Generative AI, contributing to client and internal projects in a collaborative onsite environment. The company welcomes individuals authorized to work in the U.S., including those on Initial OPT.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prompt Development: Develop and optimize prompts for AI and LLM applications.
• Solution Building: Assist in building Machine Learning and Data Science solutions.
• Data Management: Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
• Reporting & Visualization: Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Model Support: Support AI model development, testing, and deployment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analytics, Statistics, or a related technical field. For candidates without a Master’s specialization in AI/ML/Data Science, at least 1 year of relevant professional experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related technologies is required.
• Experience: Academic or practical experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Generative AI, or Prompt Engineering.
• Skills: Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science concepts; experience with Python, SQL, and data analysis; familiarity with Prompt Engineering and Generative AI tools; understanding of Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or similar libraries; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; good communication and teamwork skills.
• Bonus: Experience with LLMs, OpenAI APIs, RAG, or AI agents is a plus.
